Position Overview

From smartphone capabilities like Digital Key to connected rooms that allow for integrated entertainment, Temperature and lighting controls, Client's Global Technology team is building the hospitality experience of the future - for our guests, owners, and Team Members. Through innovative technology development and deployment, this team ensures Client has the technology needed to support our continued global growth while remaining at the forefront of hospitality technology innovation. As an Associate Business Analyst, Property Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of innovative Client property capabilities and experiences in collaboration with product, business, and technology teams. This position will be committed to gathering and refining requirements for Client's next generation Property Management System (PMS) and the integration with a newly developed Tax Fee Surcharge engine (TFS). You will be responsible for coordinating the documentation, analysis, and validation of functional requirements, in partnership with Property product and business stakeholders. You will work with multiple Technology workstreams to ensure project objectives are being met and the projects are completed on time and on budget. You will be expected to effectively communicate and participate in cross-functional teams and successfully identify risks and issues to manage expectations and to mitigate identified risks to delivery commitments.

Responsibilities

Work with business teams to capture requirements and refine them for development teams using agile methodology and Confluence/Jira toolsAnalyze new application bugs reported by hotel teams and QA teams and prioritize in line with the overall product backlogSupport prioritizing and managing the product backlogBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across technology, product and business teams to successfully deliver planned releasesSupport special projects, as needed

Required Skills

Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with internal and external partnersDetail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to track and work towards completion of meeting deadlines and tasked itemsProficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools

Qualifications

Three (3) years of professional work experience in Technology or a related fieldTwo (2) years of Hotel experience, preferably in Front Office/Hotel OperationsKnowledge of Property Management systemsTravel: 20% as required

Preferred Skills

Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 2+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 4+ years of Technology related experienceFour (4) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related fieldThree (3) + of Hotel experience, preferably in Front Office/Hotel OperationsTwo (2) + years experience as a Business AnalystKnowledge of tax & fee calculation rules for hospitality for US domestic and international marketsKnowledge of the Agile Methodology and prominent tools such as Jira and Confluence
