Application Engineer
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an Application Engineer to support a major national laboratory.
The Finance Systems department provides software solutions in order to enable efficient Finance operations. We are part of the larger Enterprise Systems group which is a highly integrated team of departments focused on delivering innovative, reliable, cost effective software systems for the Laboratories.
Responsibilities
Gather functional Supply Chain requirements, supporting IT Service Management processes, IT documentation, testing, and could start learning some application development skills, desktop and peripheral application and hardware support. Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities. Translate detailed design into application systems. Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product. Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality. Provide technical direction to engineers to ensure program deadlines are met.
Qualifications
High School Diploma and 2 years of experience related to the position. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department. of Energy Q security clearance. Experience installing, troubleshooting and supporting a Windows based desktop computer including attached peripherals such as scanners and iPhones following requirements established by customer. Experience evaluating and gathering IT requirements to assist in resolving customer’s technical challenges.
