All about the role

The Senior Product Manager – Uprights & Top Freezers is a product leader within Electrolux Major Appliances, who will successfully lead the product line management, business strategy, and business execution of sourced products. Products are a strategic, growth area and are manufactured at external factories around the world.

You will be responsible for developing, communicating, and gaining organizational alignment on the Product Road Map, identifying specific products and feature levels for each individual Food Preservation product over a five-year planning cycle. You will also be responsible for the strategic and annual planning of this business, as well as the execution of these plans, and delivering on delivering on business KPI’s.

What you’ll do:

This role serves to be Electrolux’s “resident” expert on Food Preservation Uprights & Top Freezers products. As with generation planning, competitive benchmarking is a dynamic process and a key driver in the strategic product plan for each product group.You will be working with CI&I, R&D, Global Sourcing, Design, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales and Suppliers to drive innovation, product development, cost efficiency, and simplification across the business.You will help to ensure that new product launches have business cases that contribute to the business strategy, are delivered to the marketplace on time, and at the cost targets in the product plan. You will also ensure that proper plans are in place and being executed for phase in/flooring of new product and phasing out of old product.This role will work collaboratively with CC&I (Consumer Insight and Innovation) team to assume a strong, effective leadership role in the effective delivery of all product category projects. You will assume the key leadership role in driving technology direction and engineering activity for sourced Food Preservation products.You will participate proactively with other members of the company’s Food Preservation management team in developing and executing strategic and annual plans to optimize the market and financial performance for the products category. This role also actively participates in decision-making regarding resource allocations and future direction and control of proposed product plans.You will work closely with the commercial/merchandising team and sales channel teams to establish and drive product placement, pricing, and promotional strategies and actions to deliver on project business cases and business KPI’sThe role aids in the development of strong working relationships with cross BA, purchasing, operations, sales, legal, engineering, and marketing counterparts and peers.

Qualifications required

A four-year college degree, or equivalent level of degree, is required. MBA is referred.7 years minimum experience with finished goods sourcing from a global supply base as well as product planning and project management activities, including generation planning, pricing analysis, project management, etc.Experience with merchandising principles, financial analysis, cost accounting principles, sales of consumer durables within the homebuilder and retail channels.
