Actuarial Director

Actuarial Director Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations. The Actuarial Director will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and responding to financial risks inherent in the pricing and development of health insurance products. How you will make an impact:Prepares and interprets data and related formulae.Monitors trend of profit and profitability by line of business and/or productServes on major, multi-function projects as Actuarial representative.Organizes and directs the staffing and workflow of the section. Minimum Requirements:Requires a BA/BS degree and minimum of 6 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:FSA required from the Society of Actuaries (SOA).Advance degree preferred.Self-starter with proficient programming and communication skills for a director level opportunity.Advance data analytics experience with Sequel/VBA/Excel strongly preferred.Prior experience in underwriting and risk management strongly preferred.
