Sr. Site Reliability Engineer
Our client, a leader in the financial management services industry, has an excellent opportunity available for a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to work on a 6-month contract. They are a multinational personal finance company that offers a free credit and financial management platform.
The Sr. Site Reliability Engineer will target engagements with engineering teams to establish necessary monitoring, alerting, and documentation for service reliability. The position is hybrid in Charlotte, NC requiring up to 3 days onsite per week. It is a 6-month contract.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Site Reliability Engineer:Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, and maintain systems for monitoring, alerting, and operational metrics that ensure service reliability.Implement and manage monitoring tools such as New Relic and Splunk to proactively identify and resolve issues.Utilize cloud services (GCP/AWS) for scalable and efficient infrastructure management.Deploy and manage container orchestration systems using Kubernetes to enhance deployment processes and uptime.Configure and maintain incident management tools like PagerDuty to ensure timely response to operational issues.Develop and maintain documentation on system design, configuration, and troubleshooting guides to support service reliability.Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system and emergency issues as needed.
Key Technical Skills:New RelicSplunkCloud Platforms (GCP/AWS)
Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience in site reliability engineering or similar roles.Familiarity with software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools is desirable.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
