Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Senior QA Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by leading and executing comprehensive testing processes. This individual will participate fully in sprint planning review meetings, define test objectives, write scripts (manual and automated), and execute test plans for projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, be proficient in testing RESTful APIs, and possess expertise in automation of backend services using the Dotnet framework.
Key Responsibilities
Participate fully in sprint planning review meetings to ensure clear, precise, and testable acceptance criteria.Review and execute manual and automated test cases, including back-end data validation where applicable.Lead, plan, schedule, and implement testing for projects, defining test objectives and strategies.Understand and execute accessibility tests, cross-browser, and mobile-specific tests.Define test plans, including systems analysis, risk analysis, and dependency analysis.Understand the concepts behind CI/CD approach and determine QE effort needed to support it.Lead a team successfully, working well with other departments such as Development, Product Management, and Project Management.Act as a subject matter expert on testing RESTful APIs and automation of backend services using the Dotnet framework.Guide the planning, creation, and execution of automated tests using test automation tools.Analyze and ensure requirements/User Story acceptance criteria are suitable for test case creation.Track test progress and results in test management systems.Investigate and report project issues by communicating and collaborating with various departments.Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to Software Quality Engineers.Identify opportunities for innovative tech ideas and collaborate with project teams to implement solutions.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on leading testing efforts.Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing techniques.Experience in testing RESTful APIs and automation of backend services using the Dotnet framework.Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and solve problems effectively.Knowledge of CI/CD principles and their application in software testing.Experience with test management tools.Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
