Job PurposeThe primary focus of this position is to provide administrative leadership and supervision to promote the maximum educational development of each child in a building environment conducive to teaching and learning. As Associate principal, you will facilitate student learning; help select, develop and evaluate staff; assist with development and implementation of curriculum; coordinate decision making processes in the building; administer school programs and facilities; address student needs; and participate in meetings, committees and events as requested.

Language skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret handbooks, manuals, budget reports, etc.Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, Board of Education, staff, students, parents, and the general public.
Mathematical skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to do statistical typing with a high level of accuracy.
Reasoning ability:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions with several abstract and concrete variables.Ability to use good judgment and effectively solve problems.
Education and experienceMasterβs degreeCandidates should have curriculum and instruction knowledge, theory, and experience; teaching and leadership experience; ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents and the community; ability to use technology for student and administrative needs; and the ability to be flexible, creative and collaborative. Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching preferred.
Licenses and CertificationsSuccessful candidates must have, or be eligible for, a valid Wisconsin Principal (51) License.
