Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Technician to join the team. The ideal candidate will have up to 5 years of experience in CAD drafting, with proficiency in AutoCAD software. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the success of our firm through precise and efficient drafting solutions.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with engineers and project teams to produce accurate and detailed CAD drawings, plans, and diagrams.Utilize AutoCAD software to create 2D and 3D models, layouts, and renderings in accordance with project requirements.Interpret sketches, technical drawings, and specifications to develop CAD designs that meet industry standards and client expectations.Perform quality checks and revisions on CAD drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to maintain project timelines and deliverables.Stay updated on CAD software advancements and best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications:Associate degree or certificate in CAD drafting or related field.Up to 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in a Civil Engineering or related industry.Proficiency in AutoCAD software with a strong understanding of drafting principles and standards.Experience with 3D modeling and rendering is a plus.Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Local to the Houston area or willingness to relocate.
