RISK AND COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

The Risk and Compliance Specialist is part of the Risk Management team, and is responsible for implementing and monitoring risk mitigation programs. Ensures responsible parties maintain proper insurance coverage, bonds, and related requirements. Assists in the interpretation/resolution of insurance and bond requirements/issues.

Review and edit a variety of contracts related to the construction industry, including agreements for professional services, confidentiality, and subcontractor arrangements. Assist with managing the contract review process and manage inputs and analysis of contract tracking.

The Risk and Compliance Specialist will report to the Director of Risk Management.

Duties And Responsibilities

Manage a high volume of contracting complexities requiring strategic thinking, problem solving, communication, and prioritization skills.Review subcontract documents for insurance/bond requirements and obtain appropriate certificates of insurance from vendorsReview vendor insurance certificates, endorsements, and bonds to ensure requirements of contract documents are metCommunicate with project teams, subcontractors, brokers and carriers to resolve document deficienciesMonitor vendor insurance certificate insurance renewalAssist with bond trackingManage insurance renewal each year in conjunction with the Director of Risk Management

Basic Qualifications

5 years’ experiencePreferred Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate
