Senior Data Bricks Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)About the Role:We're seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Bricks Engineer to join our growing team! You'll play a key role in designing, building, and managing our cloud-based data infrastructure using Databricks and AWS.The Ideal Candidate:Technical Expertise:Proven experience (5-7 years) deploying and managing Databrick environments.Deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data warehousing.Proficiency in Terraform, Python, and SQL.Familiarity with Databricks, CI/CD pipelines (bonus!), and GitLab (bonus!).Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, is a must.Leadership and Communication:Excellent written and oral communication skills for clear collaboration.Ability to lead and mentor team members (onboarding and training included!).Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.Additional Qualities:Passion for data engineering and leveraging technology to solve complex problems.Strong self-management and organizational abilities.A fast learner who thrives in a dynamic environment.What You'll Be Doing:Lead the deployment and management of new Databricks environments using Terraform and AWS.Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the Databricks infrastructure, ensuring peak performance.Develop and maintain ETL processes using Databricks, Python, Pyspark, SQL, and other tools.Contribute to the design and implementation of high-level data architecture solutions, including data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines.Utilize your Databricks expertise to optimize data processing and analytics workflows.
