Position Specific Description

Our Central Maintenance Department is looking for a Construction Leader to join their team in Jupiter, Florida. This role is responsible for all of the construction activities as part of large-scale program for Transmission and Substation construction projects in South Florida. The role will also require leadership and man******ment to oversee contract administration as well as oversight of vendors. The position will require working with project man******ment, engineering, operations and other groups to man****** all of the required construction activities.

A background in Engineering/Construction Man******ment with utility experience is strongly ******.

Job Overview

This role leads a team responsible for Transmission and Substation’s construction projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Ensures projects are completed safely, within required schedule, budget, and in complianceOversees implementation of technical, regulatory, environmental and corporate complianceMaintains day-to-day site coordination requirements to integrate transmission and substation construction projectsEnsures contractor safety participation through attendance and review tailboards, field risk assessments and oversees observation reviewsEnsures timely resolution and constructability of field compliance issues and actively supports continuous improvementReviews all project bids and ensures all required project permits are in hand, prior to the commencement of the projectMaintains thorough review and processes all project invoicesDevelops realistic action steps, timetables and resources estimates for projectsMeets attendance and storm duty requirements and has the ability to work extended hoursPerforms other job-related duties as assigned
