Position Summary

The Facilities Worker I is responsible for winery and surrounding grounds maintenance upkeep. Tasks include grounds keeping and general up-keep of the facility.

Essential Job Functions

Perform landscaping and grounds work at winery or designated location.

Typical tasks performed include a combination of the following: Mowing, leaf blowing, light pruning, replacing shrubs and/or flowers as needed.

Work under guidance of landscape designer to create and maintain manicured spaces on Linga Franca campus.

Responsible for operating and maintaining a newly designed vermicompost process wastewater system, expected Fall of 2024. Primary tasks include routine maintenance of equipment and vermicompost beds, conducting inspections, and troubleshooting issues. Extensive training will be provided on use of the system.

Collaborate with Lingua Franca team to maintain conservation lands on property. Could include field mowing, black berry removal, tree thinning and stream restoration.

Clean breezeways, walkways, parking lots, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. May use power washer.

Hauling recycling off-site to local recycling center.

Help with vinery and vineyard event setup and breakdown.

Work as a part of the harvest team during harvest season. This could include but is not limited to driving a forklift, processing fruit, cap management, using a pump to move finished wine, stacking barrels and other related tasks as needed.

Check perimeter of buildings for pest control and maintains pest control devices as needed.

Rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow where needed or perform other incidental seasonal tasks as needed.

Maintains grounds keeping equipment, responsible for storage and maintenance of tools.

May do light carpentry where needed.

Responsible for compliance with CBI sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.

Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

Ability to operate machinery

Ability to use hand tools

Basic math skills

Valid Driver’s License

Primary office environment may be warehouse/distribution setting

The Salary Range For This Role Is

$16.68 - $24.51

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
