Location: El Reno, OK Job Type: On Site (Full-Time) Pay: $25-$30 / hour Perk: Truck with fuel card Experience: 3-5 years (1+ Years possible) : Must live within 1 hour of El Reno
As a Service Technician I, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of gas engine compressor packages and associated equipment for multiple applications, primarily focusing on meeting the needs of our clients. Your day-to-day activities will involve interpreting compressor performance runs, providing preventative and corrective field mechanical service, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and addressing inefficiencies in client locations.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret compressor performance runs and other OEM software for optimal equipment functionality. Provide a higher level of preventative and corrective field mechanical service on gas compression, process, and/or production equipment at client locations. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, packages, and systems on-site, offering immediate repair support and coordination for major overhauls. Identify and address equipment, package, and plant inefficiencies or issues to enhance performance. Install and perform minor and major overhauls on all equipment as needed. Maintain knowledge of electrical systems and provide maintenance and service support. Take initiative and fulfill duties in line with company standards, policies, and controllable expense budget. Provide input to the Supervisor on personnel and materials needs for optimal job planning. Offer leadership and training to new Field Technicians. Assist in equipment start-up/commissioning processes. Maintain knowledge of purging and loading practices/procedures. Perform job activities in a manner consistent with the project's goals and objectives, ensuring safety is a top priority.
Safety Responsibilities
Recognize and comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and policies applicable to each client location. Fully participate in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) program and Behavior-Based Safety programs (BBS). Report all incidents immediately to the supervisor and participate in incident reporting and investigation programs. Fully participate in site-specific Emergency Action Plans.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Vocational School or Associated Degree . Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the field or a certificate of completion from an acceptable trade school or military training and experience in a related field. Skill Requirements:Valid driver's license. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding basic English. Successful completion of the OSHA required Respiratory Questionnaire process with a Licensed Health Care Provider. Currently comply with and/or able to successfully complete Health Safety training. Must provide own small hand tools as directed by Operations Management. Ability to identify workplace Safety, Health, and Environmental hazards and mitigate them. Basic understanding of Gas & Oil properties, conditions, and theories. Basic understanding of Compressor and Production Equipment types, models, and theory of operation. Basic understanding of Installation, Assembly, Commissioning, Trouble Shooting, and Repair procedures related to gas compressors and production equipment. Knowledge of Pressure Ratings, Piping Schedules, Safety Systems related to installation and commissioning of gas compressors and production equipment. Thorough understanding of tooling utilized to install, maintain, and operate Gas Compressors and Production Equipment. Construction site Health, Safety, and Environmental work practices and procedures. Ability to decipher P&ID's, Blue Prints, Installation Instructions, and Technical Manuals. Strong mechanical ability related to Assembly and Disassembly. Aptitude to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment. Proficient in computer skills necessary to submit detailed reports, documentation, and utilize OEM software related to commissioning.
