Job Summary
Prepares radioactive isotopes for administration to patients. Operates radioscopic equipment. Acts as an expert clinician who demonstrates a high level of knowledge/expertise, and is a leader/resource to the healthcare team.

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor’s): RequiredMaster's Degree: Five years' technical experience: Two years' leadership experience: Three years' nuclear medicine experience:
Licenses/Certifications
State Nuclear Medicine License: Required in CA and HIRegistered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Required in CA and ORVenipuncture certification: Required in CA and HIState Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT): Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Med Tech (NMTCB): Required
Essential Functions
Assigns personnel to particular patients and patient care activities based on independent assessment of effective skill and ability utilization, while working to equalize assigned personnel work load.Prepares patient and radioactive isotopes for administration and performs procedures.Screens and recommends candidates for hire, promotion, discipline and other administrative actions.Reviews daily schedule and assigns staffing, equipment and supplies accordingly. Prioritizes emergent procedures, minimizes patient waits and optimizes turn-around times.Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
