📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Career Start is currently seeking a PLC Programmer-Industrial Electrician in Baldwinsville, NY for the 1st and 2nd shift. The 1st Shift is 6 am to 3 pm and the 2nd shift is 3 pm to 12 pm.
To be considered for the position, preferred candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with electrical controls systems, PLC’s and HMI programming. The PLC Programmer-Industrial Electrician will be responsible for programming PLCs, electrical maintenance repairs and installations, equipment troubleshooting and assisting with repairs.

$28 to $31/hour
- Responsibilities of PLC Programmer-Industrial Electrician: *
Install software applications or conduct maintenance on automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers. Ensure the reliability of PLC automation servers and processors. Diagnose and adjust ladder logic programs on Allen Bradley processors using RSLogix 500 and 5000 software. Develop a plan for supporting PLC automation, including operator training. Manage the integration of specialized hardware and software into manufacturing systems to optimize automation and control with a focus on efficiency. Install and service electrical equipment, such as transformers, wiring, and electronic components of machinery. Manage machinery maintenance, ensuring compliance with maintenance requirements for 480-volt, 3-phase systems, and prioritizing minimizing downtime.
- Requirements of PLC Programmer-Industrial Electrician: *
Must have a minimum of three years of experience working with, electrical controls systems, PLC’s and HMI programming Previous experience troubleshooting and programming PLC ladder logic Previous electrical experience voltages ranging from 24v to 480v 3 phase Experience troubleshooting AC/DC drives and high-speed computer controlled production machinery Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints. Experience installing conduit and pulling wire to code
