Quality Assurance/Inventory Technician

Custom Processing Services* provides contract manufacturing/toll processing services to a wide variety of industries. Specialized processes center on particle size reduction using a number of methods including jaw crushing, pulverizing, micronizing and media milling. Additional services such as flash drying, surface treatments, blending, dispersing and packaging are also available. The Processing Pros provide new product development assistance from R&D concepts through their commercialization. In addition to CPS's technical grade facilities, a state-of-the art, dedicated building is available for cGMP processing.

The *Quality Assurance Technician* is responsible for the inspection and testing of manufacturing products to insure the product quality. The quality technician will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment and methods, processes and products, ensuring proper procedures are being followed and documented in order to maintain product quality and records traceability. The quality technician will also assist to insure nonconforming product is appropriately identified and removed from the production flow until such product can be dispositioned.

Job Responsibilities

Assure that manufactured products meet customer requirements by testing and analyzing raw material, production, and post-production samples and reporting findings to team members Analyze non-conforming materials and/or returned goods and communicate results to team members Create suitable data analysis tables and reports Provide analytical investigations and develop root cause for non-conformances and deviations Operate gauging and test equipment for quality assurance functions including calibration, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance Analyze data and generate summary reports including Certificates of Analysis, Process Yields, etc. and submit to customer Assist in the performance of qualification and validation studies Prepare samples for shipment to customers Review incoming receipts per QDoc-01 requirements Perform product release per Qdoc-01 requirements Perform inspections; Assist on special projects Communicate results of inspections; quality related issues with appropriate team members Track and communicate results of departmental metrics Participate on cross-functional teams Inventory and place orders for laboratory consumables including test logs Develop test methodology for new and existing products

Qualifications

Previous experience in QC manufacturing, specifically in manufacturing plant management preferred Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field or equivalent job experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Critical thinking Proficiency in basic to mid-level mathematics Must be able to effectively communicate internally (team members) and externally (customers) in a professional manner Must be able to participate in a dynamic work environment: High energy, self-motivated, able to prioritize, etc.Why Choose CPS?*
