Design Engineer
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Work as a Design Engineer to contribute to dynamic renewable energy projects across the US.
We're expanding our team and seeking a proficient engineer to design and develop components, panels, systems, and equipment (mechanical or electrical) using 2D CAD software.
Location: Primarily situated in our Folsom, CA headquarters with the option for remote work 2 days per week. Occasional travel to job sites will be necessary.
Growth & Development: In this position, you'll foster relationships across departments, enhance your expertise in solar and renewable energy, and collaborate with leading minds in renewable technology.Your Key Contributions:Conduct engineering calculations, including UPS and battery bank sizing, fiber optic link losses, and enclosure heating and air conditioner sizing.Assess and specify products to fulfill project technical requirements.Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.Develop project/product designs and drawings, maintain revisions, and ensure compliance with engineering drawing practices and standards.Interpret and create line diagrams and schematics for fabrication.Meet design deadlines and communicate issues to relevant parties.Provide mark-ups to convey revisions and corrections to CAD designers.Collaborate effectively with project managers and other team members to offer assistance and technical support.Work alongside procurement and production departments to create and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) on new/existing drawings.Qualifications:
Preferably 0-1 years of related experience and/or training.University graduate in electrical engineering or a design-related field.Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D.Understanding of basic AC/DC electrical theory as it pertains to design drawing and relevant electrical codes and standards.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.Attention to detail is a must.
