Role: Mainframe DeveloperDuration: 12+ months of contractLocation: McLean, VA (Onsite)
Job Description:Responsibilities:Understand business needs and lead or participate in Requirements Analysis and Design sessionsProvide development support that includes analysis, design, coding, testing, and deploymentProvide rotating on-call support of the servicing mainframe applicationsFacilitate meetings with business to describe requirements solutions and encourage dialogContribute to the team that executes manual and automated testing activitiesTroubleshoot production incidents and provide quick resolutionWork with interfacing application and infrastructure teamsFoster teamwork across the development group
Required Skills:5- 10 years of experience in mainframe technologies to include: CICS, JCL, COBOL, SAS, Jobtrac Scheduler, ISPW, VSAM, and mainframe utilitiesAt least 5 years of experience in databases management: IMS, DB2, with advanced SQL knowledgeAbility to analyze complex programs, job schedules, and business logic across the mainframe domainDemonstrated/strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 productsBS / BA with Computer Science or Information Technology, or related discipline
Preferred:Hands on experience in Unix platformAgile, Kanban or SCRUM frameworks knowledge a plus
