The Opportunity

Job Description

The Financial Counselor will be responsible for collecting balance and posting payments accurately to patient accounts daily in a courteous and professional manner. To great and assist patients with questions regarding their bill and setup payment agreements. Works with and through a third party or patient follow up to assist with timely resolution to patient account concerns.

This candidate will also be responsible for ensuring timely resolution of patient accounts through third party or patient follow-up and collections. Provides financial counseling on patient accounts in a courteous, efficient and professional manner. Primary emphasis on accounts pending third party payment.

Experience Required

1+ years of experience with deposits, bank authorizations, and payment clearancePrior Banking and/or Hospital experience is a plus

Education Required

HS Diploma and/or GED required

Certification

CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) required within 6 months of hire
