JOB SUMMARY FOR DESIGN ENGINEER

Seeking a Product Development Engineer for a global manufacturing client located in Mossville, IL.Pay range: $29-36/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR DESIGN ENGINEER

Utilize Creo to create detailed 3D models of components and assemblies, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.Generate comprehensive engineering drawings and specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), to communicate design intent effectively to manufacturing teams.Conduct FMEA to identify and mitigate potential failure modes in product designs, processes, and systems, ensuring robustness and reliability throughout the product lifecycle.Develop DVP&R documents outlining comprehensive testing plans and protocols to validate product designs against performance, durability, and regulatory requirements.Lead APQP activities to ensure systematic planning and execution of quality processes throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.Coordinate and oversee various engineering analyses, such as structural, thermal, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), to evaluate design performance and make data-driven decisions.Collaborate with suppliers to optimize component designs, manufacturing processes, and quality standards through effective communication and partnership.Perform detailed tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure dimensional integrity and assembly fit.Conduct calculations for O-ring seals and bolted joint assemblies to determine appropriate sizes, materials, and torque specifications for optimal performance and reliability.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR DESIGN ENGINEER

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.2-5 years experience or relevant work experience.3D modeling/print detailing.Clear understanding of GD&T.Product development experience.
