POSITION:Product Engineer

JOB TYPE:Full-time, W2, 12-month contract with ongoing need

Pay rate is $41.89/hr.

LOCATION:Horicon, WI

JOB SUMMARY FOR PRODUCT ENGINEER

Performs basic product design, testing, and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PRODUCT ENGINEER

Plan and coordinate testing and analysis work for design projects varying in complexity.Operate within the Product Verification and Validation (PV&V) and design community.Develop and execute test or analysis plans for product verification and validation.Assist in establishing objectives, goals, and priorities for the test lab.Possess strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills, including the ability to write clear test procedures.Lead and execute vehicle tests.Analyze complex data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.Communicate effectively within cross-functional teams across multiple sites to drive results.Utilize MS Office for various tasks.Willingness and ability to travel domestically to support field tests, etc.Hands-on skills and aptitude with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR PRODUCT ENGINEER

4-year engineering degree preferred or equivalent work experience.Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR PRODUCT ENGINEER

Experience with Excel and SharePoint.Ability to lead and execute vehicle tests.MS Office experience.Willingness and ability to travel domestically.Works with guidance to achieve engineering development targets.Produces technical engineering specifications and related materials.Implements engineering designs and evaluates outcomes.Manages and applies safe systems of work.Provides technical guidance on expressing ideas and formulating plans.Identifies, assesses, prioritizes, and manages project-related risks.Measures and reports progress toward intermediate targets.Analyzes data trends for use in decision-making.Manages projects and/or programs within desired parameters.Builds the structure and culture of the project team.Manages requirements and design quality.Defines roles and responsibilities within project structure.
