Senior Tax Manager

Job Title: Senior Tax Filing Manager (Senior Consultant)

Location: Remote – preferably seeking remote candidate in Illinois

Pay rate is $44.00-57.00, two position available, rate based on experience

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic Senior Tax Filing Manager (Senior Consultant) to oversee and manage the client delivery of tax filing services. As a member of senior leadership within the Tax Filing organization, you will play a key role in ensuring excellence in service delivery and client satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership skills, expertise in tax filing processes, and the ability to mentor and develop team members.

Responsibilities:Oversee overall client delivery and satisfaction in Tax Filing.Serve as the point of contact for resolving client escalations with urgency and accuracy.Develop, review, and communicate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) completion and assist with improvement efforts.Monitor and audit tasks to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.Lead process improvement efforts in tax filing processes.Collaborate with other domains to ensure client deliverables and drive process improvements.Communicate complex issues to clients as needed and provide timely, accurate responses.Facilitate Tax Filing Shared Services (TFSS) representation in client meetings and provide updates on tax filing processes.Support research on compliance and regulatory issues and facilitate higher-level escalations.Compile, report, and analyze metrics to drive improvements and close process gaps.Mentor and develop managers and colleagues, managing performance and accountability.Manage Tax Filing suppliers to support accurate and timely delivery.Support testing and implementation efforts as needed.Coordinate training for new colleagues or processes and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Education and Experience:Minimum of 7 years' experience in payroll tax filing or related field required.

Skills:Minimum of 7 years' experience in payroll tax filing or related field required.Advanced understanding of payroll tax filing and related subject matter desired.Strong verbal and written communication skills required.Client interaction and management experience required.People management experience of 5+ years required; experience leading managers preferred.Strong computer skills with current technical knowledge required.Experience with payroll tax software required; Master Tax and ADP Smart Compliance experience desired.Medium-level project management and process improvement experience highly desired.
