Overview

As a Configuration Center Engineer, you will serve as a key contributor in the configuration center by performing troubleshooting and installation work on various computer and networking hardware.

YOUR IMPACT

The essential functions of this position include

Provide advanced hardware configuration of routers and switches via command-line interface (CLI)Perform IOS and firmware upgrades on switches and routersApply configurations to routers and switches from config templates and making appropriate changesBasic knowledge of imaging desktops and laptops via Symantec Ghost server and/or MDTPerform racking and stacking of hardware components in a configuration center environment and in a data center environmentPerform cabling and labeling services, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailProvide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutionsUnderstand the different types of network cables and power cablesAble to review, understand, and edit network topology diagramsProvide remote connectivity to internal and external customers through the configuration center via VPN tunnelsTroubleshoot and perform remediation repairs; escalate to Sr. Engineers, as neededWork towards achieving industry-specific certifications: i.e.- CCNP, VCP

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred3-5 years of hands-on experience in ITIndustry certifications i.e.: CCNP, CCNA, Network+Excellent customer service skills both on phone and in-personProfessional demeanor and good communication skillsAbility to think and come up with solutions quicklyMust be fully knowledgeable and able to diagnose, install and repair two or more of the following technologies:Remote VPN connectivityPC Imaging solutionsNetworkingSecurityBlade server technologyVirtualization

POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $55,000 and $75,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
