Job description

As a Microsoft 365 Security Consultant, you’ll make a tangible security improvement in diverse enterprise organizations by guiding and assisting enterprise deployments of Microsoft 365 Workplace security, compliance, identity, device management, device virtualization, and more. You will be the solutions engineer who works with clients to design and deploy industry-leading solutions to improve the protection of Microsoft-based assets within their on-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate for this job will be a friendly and communicative individual and ready to help execute enterprise migrations in large environments to assist the client in making the most of their investments in Microsoft technologies and services.

Duties

Work directly with client teams for deployment and support of Microsoft cloud, hybrid, and on-premise security capabilities.Work with Security Architects and Project Managers to guide the execution of client configurations, complete as-built documentation, and ensure client timelines are met.Execute prescriptive tasks such as configuring policies, profiles, and settings for Microsoft 365 defender suite of products with clientsAble to interpret individual design items within architectural design drafts of Microsoft 365 services to implement controls in client environments.Interpret client scenarios and provide recommendations, given adequate preparation.Able to create professional written deliverables of acceptable quality

Requirements

Expert-level understanding and previous implementation of Security products including Microsoft Defender suite, Sentinal, DLP, and PurviewMUST HAVE prior experience deploying ALL of the following technologies: DLP, Microsoft XDR, Microsoft Defender for End Point (MDE), Microsoft Cloud app Security (MDA) , Microsoft Defender Identity (MDI), Microsoft for M365 (MDO ), MS Purview , Data Protection, and Entra ID.At least 2 years of IT prior IT consulting experience.Strong communication skills, and the ability to build customer confidence to successfully deploy solutions.

Preferred Skills

Currently holds Microsoft certifications including MS-102, MD-102, MS-500, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400 or AZ-500Preferred: Currently holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or other relevant security industry certificationsSecurity Operations (SecOps) History with competitive security tools (Proofpoint, Mimecast, CrowdStrike, Okta, PingFederate, more) DLP and eDiscovery Compliance managementA sanitized example of deliverables may be required to demonstrate the quality of written work
