For this role, we’re looking for an experienced Senior ELK Administrator who can help execute DevOps activities including job automation and verification tasks in Elasticsearch and Kafka environments. This position will also help with Systems and Database level monitoring and performance, audit, capacity and maintenance activities that our team handles.

What you’ll do:Oversee large scale Elasticsearch and Kafka ClustersOversee performance of clusters as we on-board new clientsWork in AWS, Azure and on-prem systemsManage large scale Oracle RAC clustersCollaborate with developers and provide insights in Elasticsearch and KafkaFollow best practices for availability, security, backup and recovery, and integrity of Elasticsearch, Kafka and other Epsilon databases.Actively be a member of the on-call rotation 24 x 7 x 365 support through on-call rotation. Pager duty will be requiredParticipate in data store infrastructure and future-state design planning and implementation.Understand upcoming software development and plan related database-changesContribute to formulating and documenting company database standards, guidelines, and operational procedures.Support users, tune and troubleshoot data access applications and ad hoc queriesInteract with vendor support to ensure open issues are resolved within defined SLAEvaluate new database technologies and products and recommend to technical managementProvide 24 x 7 x 365 support through on-call rotation

What you’ll bring:BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.At least 6 years of database management experienceMinimum 3 years of recent DevOps experience with Elasticsearch or KafkaMinimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle RACExperience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Golden Gate can be a plusProficiency in both Bash and Unix/Linux Shell ScriptingStrong knowledge of building complex SQL queriesExperience working in a Unix/Linux environment from a recent positionSelf-starter and be able to perform work with minimal supervisory directionExtremely detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
