Pharmacy Technician

Specific Duties:Demonstrates a depth and breadth of knowledge/skills in their own area and is often able to apply these outside of their own function.Often acts as a technical resource to others in its own function.Anticipates customer needs and proactively identifies solutions.Solves complex problems on their own; proactively identifies new solutions to problems.Plans, prioritizes, organizes, and completes work to meet established objectives.Acts as a facilitator to resolve conflicts on team; seen as key team member on project teams spanning more than own function.Training of new and current staff in all current and new procedures as they are implemented, as well as proper practices such as aseptic technique, proper garbing and gowning, and all guidelines according to USP 797.Manages workflow process within sterile complex ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner and accurately according to policy and procedure within sterile complex.Assesses daily cleaning and aseptic techniques of each compounding technician and addresses any observations noted.

Must have qualifications/experience:High School Diploma/GED OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy TechnicianActive and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Texas.Minimum of 3+ years of consistent sterile compounding experience with knowledge in diverse types of manipulations such as TPNs and ACDsMedical Terminology KnowledgeExperience working in a fast paced team environmentGreat MultitaskerPositive AttitudeGood Typing SkillsGreat Customer Service SkillsAttention to DetailStrong Organizational SkillsEffective communication skills both written and verbalStrong computer skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools.Critical thinking skills.Ability to work with other

Physical Demands:Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs. frequently in a warehouse environment
