Project Engineer / Environmental Scientist

Location: Tri-Valley, Northern California (Hybrid work option available)

Responsibilities:Prepare comprehensive technical reports and project proposals, demonstrating proficiency in project management methodologies.Engage in a blend of office-based and field activities, with a focus on office work.Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Investigations adhering to ASTM Standards.Perform multi-media sampling including soil, soil vapor, groundwater, indoor air, methane, surface water, and sediment.Undertake lithological logging and preparation of boring logs.Compile reports and prepare supporting documentation.Develop Conceptual and Detailed designs for Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Systems under the guidance of a California Registered Professional Engineer.May involve extended field days and job site visits across Northern California.Prepare proposals and manage budgets.Project manage small to mid-scale projects and assist on larger projects.Report project status and progress to program managers, facilitating effective decision-making and resource allocation.Liaise with clients, third parties, and regulatory agencies regarding project status, schedules, and compliance issues.

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.Minimum of 4 years of relevant environmental experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with AutoCAD, Surfer, and/or ArcGIS preferred.Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred: Knowledge of remediation systems and vapor intrusion mitigation systems is beneficial.40 Hour HAZWOPER training is desirable.Field equipment experience is advantageous.Professional certification (PE/PG) is a plus.
