Position Summary

The Chief of Staff will provide bandwidth, thought partnership, and execution focus to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) by assisting in proactive planning and follow-ups supporting Brand, Marketing, Communications, Customer Insights, and Product Innovation.

Responsibilities

Set strategy and oversee critical initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of the CMO. Assist and communicate with leaders in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation. Review, design, and execute improvements to processes to drive efficiency and productivity. Serve as liaison with staff, executives, senior leaders, and OCEO regarding company priorities, planning and budgeting, project updates, and team culture. Liaise with the GMI Executive Assistant to proactively plan the calendaring of priorities across GMI and for the CMO internally and externally. Develop and build on relationships across the organization to enable marketing and innovation impact and help implement new ways of working. Handle inquiries on behalf of the CMO, develop action plans, assist with preparation for different meetings & events, and dissemination of communication. Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

Required Experience

Education

Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)

Experience

10+ years of experience in a functional area; focus on marketing and product innovation preferredExperience running a functional area. Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and/or departmentsExperience in strategic planning and leading strategic initiativesProven ability to collaborate across a wide set of internal and external stakeholdersExcellent written, visual, and verbal communication skillsVersatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivityExperience in data analysis, strategic planning, and budget managementConsulting experience preferredProven success in a project coordination roleNimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutionsStrong Excel, PowerPoint, and project-reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communications
