General Description: Functions in accordance with plans and policies established by the Board of Directors and performs duties within the medical setting as a member of the care team providing medical care. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvides general care for patients commensurate with training, experience, and clinical needs; to include well check visits, acute illness visits, family planning, etc. Maintains timely and accurate electronic medical record documentation on all patients including office visits, telephone calls, hospital visits and admissionsPrepares timely and accurate billing chargesMakes appropriate referrals to other health facilities for further testing, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up careManages patient utilization of services as part of a patient centered medical homeParticipates in AAAHC on-going readinessParticipates in Peer Review and Quality Improvement ProgramCo-chairs and actively participates in daily huddles as part of the patient centered medical home modelDemonstrates commitment to professional growth and competency by maintaining current, up-to-date knowledge in the field of MedicineStrives to achieve goals of the health care plan and participates in annual updatesParticipates in twenty-four (24) hour telephone coverageTimely and accurately enters patient data into an electronic health record per agency standardsMaintains current Board Certification in SpecialtyPeriodically supervises and teaches Residents, Medical Students, and other allied health professionals May be required to work multiple locations These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications:Gradation from an accredited residency programValid and current State of Florida Medical LicenseValid and current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Registration CertificateBoard Certified or Board Eligible in primary specialty.
