Service Technician

Everest Emergency Vehicles is seeking a motivated vehicle technician to perform installations of emergency equipment in a variety of public safety vehicles. Our service team has extensive experience and strives to aid first responders across the region with vehicle equipment they can count on.Previous experience is a plus, we will train the right talent. A willingness to learn and attention to detail is a must. On-the-job training is provided and will be ongoing. We offer a clean, positive work environment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality.Conduct inspections and safety checks to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulations.Install, repair, and maintain specialized equipment and components unique to emergency vehicles, including lights, sirens, communication systems, and medical equipment.Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and service history for each vehicle.Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate repairs and prioritize work orders based on urgency.Stay updated on industry developments, manufacturer guidelines, and safety protocols related to emergency vehicle maintenance.Provide support during emergencies or breakdowns, including on-call duties as required.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.Uphold high standards of professionalism, teamwork, and customer service when interacting with colleagues and clients.

QualificationsPrevious mechanical and electrical experience (110V, 12V)Vehicle upfits, radios and electrical a plus - Harness installation, schematics readingEMS, Fire or Law Enforcement experience preferredStrong work ethicStrong attendance and work historyExcellent time management and organizational skills
