JOB SUMMARYProvides leadership to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting function, including management of the accounting principles, practices, procedures, initiatives, and controls for the maintenance of fiscal records, including compliance with SEC regulations, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements, compliance with the Internal Revenue Service requirements, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; andFive plus years of increasingly responsible experience in the accounting field; with 1-3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the SEC reporting function activities, including the analysis and reporting of all SEC financial transactions.Works as the liaison with external and internal contacts, including but not limited to legal counsel, auditors, FP&A, investor relations, and tax; in order to resolve key accounting issues and reflect positions accurately in the financial statements.Leads efforts to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with applicable rules and regulations of the Company’s financial filings with the SEC, including the Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, SEC and GAAP checklists, and other required public filings.Fosters a culture that promotes ethical practices and legal compliance by encouraging excellent customer service, individual integrity, teamwork, employee innovation and accountability.Supports the external reporting processes such as annual and quarterly earnings including financial information and detail in the earnings releases, preparation of investor materials, and board reports.Works actively across all Everus companies to proactively recommend implementation of new accounting standards, or changes to existing accounting standards that arise.Develops and maintains a well-coordinated and efficient working team capable of planning and administering the functions within the identified scope.Keeps abreast of SEC, GAAP, AICPA, PCAOB, etc. accounting guidance and changes.Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
