📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Description:The Release Engineering Engineer will spearhead the company's comprehensive Continuous Integration (CI) strategy. This position entails a blend of hands-on execution and strategic foresight regarding build and deployment processes, in close collaboration with key stakeholders company-wide. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of the entire software development lifecycle and a proven history of devising comprehensive release engineering solutions with significant impact and scalability across the organization.
Responsibilities: with development, engineering, and operations teams to gather technical requirements and translate them into actionable deliverables to construct a comprehensive CI/CD strategy.strategic guidance to the organization regarding our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI strategy.Developer Experience by streamlining existing Build and Code Promotion procedures.current tools and workflows, pinpoint areas of improvement, and propose enhancements.proof-of-concepts (POCs), demonstrations, and implement software solutions to streamline build and deployment pipelines for on-premise bare metal, virtual, Windows, Linux, and containerized environments.standards and protocols for deployments and develop reusable interfaces for end-users.forth guidelines for configuration management solutions.abreast of industry trends and DevOps advancements, applying principles of continuous improvement to CI practices.technical leadership, formulate technical specifications for new microservices and APIs.concepts and strategies, convey information clearly, and influence teams and individuals effectively.
Knowledge and Experience:of Science in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.years of hands-on experience with CI/CD toolchains, showcasing expert-level proficiency with one or more standard tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible, Chef, Terraform.in planning, constructing, and executing complete CI/CD pipelines on both native and virtualized infrastructure.expertise with Build and Assembly technologies, including but not limited to Gradle, Maven, Conan, MSBuild.with Distributed and Parallel Build and Test environments.understanding of fundamental principles of DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, and Lean methodologies.in Code Promotion and Lifecycle management.in migrating Legacy Applications to Containerized Microservices.experience providing architectural guidance to project development teams.in at least one Programming Language such as Python, Go Lang, Java, .NET, C++, C#, or similar.command of Scripting Languages like Bash, Groovy, PowerShell.
Preferred:in Linux and/or Windows Administration.experience with container technologies and orchestration, encompassing Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Tanzu, OpenShift, and others.in developing, testing, and utilizing APIs
