Controller

The ideal candidate will be strategic, detail oriented, and tech savvy. Experience in a manufacturing environment a must, with any experience in food, beverage, or chemical a plus! ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement financial strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure the company's financial health and compliance with regulations.Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including budgets, financial statements, and forecasts, to executive management and stakeholders.Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Manage the overall accounting department.Establish and maintain internal control procedures necessary to protect the company and to provide documentation for the annual audit;Assist the President and Management Team in banking and credit negotiations;Responsible for Federal and State tax compliance;

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience including experience in a manufacturing environment and/or public accounting firm;Familiarity with tax laws so that financial decisions are made with an awareness of the tax implication;Ability to work in a competitive industry with fluctuating raw material costs;Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)GAAP knowledge, CPA preferredStrong written, verbal and collaboration skills
