📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
As an Ab Initio developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex ETL solutions that meet company’s technical and business needs. Role and Responsibilities:Designed and Implemented ETL Processes: Spearhead the design and implementation of robust ETL solutions using Ab Initio software to ensure efficient data and selection, transformation and loading processes this included creating scalable and maintainable data pipelines that supported critical data-driven decisions.Performance Optimization: Regularly perform tuning and optimization of ETL processes to improve performance, reducing data processing time significantly and enhancing system reliability.Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks within the ETL workflows to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, which reduce data discrepancies and improve trust in data-driven insights.Collaboration and Requirements Gathering: Work closely with Business analysts and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications ensuring that all data solutions were aligned with business objectives and user needs.Technical Leadership and Training: Provided technical guidance and training to junior developers fostering a collaborative team environment and enhancing overall team productivity and knowledge on Ab-Initio tools and best practices.Innovative Data Solutions: Introduced new techniques and components within Ab Initio suite such as the use of Meta-Environment (EME) for better meta data management which streamlines data operations and supported compliance with data governance standards.Continuous improvement: Actively contributed to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing system enhancements that improve data processing workflows and reduced costs. Required Qualification and Skills: Experience in the Analysis, Design and Development of Data warehousing solutions and in developing strategies for Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) mechanism using Ab InitioSolid experience as an RDBMS developer, with stored procedures, query performance tuning and ETLHands-on experience creating graphs to meet complex business requirementsStrong US healthcare experienceExperience in handling Generic graphs, Plans, PSETs and complex ab initio graphsExtensive understanding on MFS, PDL is requiredShould have good understanding of SQL and ability to write simple/complex SQL's as per requirement.Experience with SQL performance tuningFamiliar with basic unix commands (awk, sed, grep, find,etc) and 1-2 years experience writing unix scriptsExperience with Express>IT, Conduct>IT, continuous flows will be preferredExperience integrating with Hadoop environment
