What’s the Job?
Conduct sophisticated spatial analyses, including geoprocessing, network analysis, and spatial modeling, to derive actionable insights from geospatial data. Design, develop, and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and efficiency. Create and manage data schemas, relationships, and metadata. Develop custom GIS applications and tools using programming languages like Python or JavaScript to automate workflows, enhance GIS functionality, and optimize data processing. Collaborate in the acquisition, integration, and management of geospatial data from diverse sources, such as satellite imagery, GPS, and remote sensing technologies. Provide technical support to end-users, resolve GIS-related issues, and offer training and guidance to ensure effective utilization of GIS tools and resources.
What’s Needed?
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, GIS, or a related field. Master's degree preferred or 5+ year experience in a Telecom GIS Engineering field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript for geospatial application development and automation. Strong understanding of geodatabase design, spatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, geodatabases), and coordinate systems. Proven ability to perform advanced spatial analyses, spatial modeling, and geostatistical analysis to extract meaningful insights from geospatial data. Ability to convey complex GIS concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
