Horticulturist
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is currently looking for full-time gardeners/horticulturalists to work with her in the Northshore area maintaining beautiful and functional yards and gardens for her customers. This is a woman-run business which has been thriving and growing for over 20 years.
Responsibilities- Performing general gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, and weeding- Maintaining and caring for plants, flowers, and shrubs- Using power tools and hand tools to maintain landscapes- Assisting with landscape maintenance including edging and trimming- Operating and maintaining equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers- Assisting with greenhouse operations including seed starting and transplanting- Collaborating with team members to plan and execute garden projects
Qualifications- Previous horticulturalist experience or education background, or similar experience- Ability to use hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks- Experience in grounds-keeping or landscaping a plus- Experience working in a greenhouse environment is a plus- Ability to work for 8 hours a day outside in a physically-demanding position- Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle for getting to and from different sites is required
