Financial Controller

Our client: is a well established, trusted and growing Professional Services and Technology company based in Saratoga Springs, committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. As they expand operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team.

Job Summary: As the Financial Controller you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of relevant experience and possess a strong background in financial management, reporting, and analysis.

Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with department heads.Provide insightful analysis of budget variances and recommend corrective actions.Cash Flow Management:Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organization's financial stability.Implement effective cash management policies and procedures.Prepare, process, oversee and reconcile invoicing for operational revenue and Escrow expense purposes across multiple entities.Financial Analysis:Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.Identify and communicate financial trends and areas for improvement.Internal Controls:Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Tax Compliance:Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations.Prepare and submit tax returns and related documentation.Team Leadership:Supervise and mentor a small finance team and liaise with external accountants.Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.

Qualifications & Experience:A current, valid right to live and work in the US and be comfortable commuting to Saratoga Springs.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Professional qualification such as CPA,CMA, is a plus.Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a financial controller role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.Highly proficient in financial software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Information: This is a full-time position based in our Saratoga Springs, NY office (flex hybrid). Applicants MUST have a valid right to work in the USA, without the need for sponsorship.
