SummaryThe Chief Operating Officer at Exxact Express is responsible for leading the mission and vision of operations. This individual will work cross-functionally to develop and execute strategies, visions, and goals for the company’s freight operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFoster a success-oriented, compliant, and accountable environment within the organization.Implement strategies to drive profitability and productivity; improve efficiencies and cost savings; and grow revenues within an operational environment consisting of 150 power units and 600+ dry van trailers.Act as a spokesperson for the company in communicating with major customers, suppliers, competitors, government officials, and professional societies.Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.Provide leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of Exxact Express are implemented.
Skills and QualificationsTransportation/Trucking, Brokerage/Logistics, & Supply Chain management experience preferred.Polished professional with excellent business acumen.Outstanding leadership and people skills.Strong critical thinking skills.Superior verbal and written communication skills.10+ years of Senior transportation/logistics management experience.A 4-year degree from an accredited institution.
