Hours
Full TimeOur clinic is open Monday-Friday, 5:30am-6:00pm. Your shifts will fall within those hours. You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.No late nights, weekends or on-call shifts!

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program requiredBachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferredCurrent Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredAdult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferredMust be able to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United StatesExperience working in ICU, Critical Care and/or PACU is strongly preferredPre-admission testing experience preferred

REPORTS TO: Nurse Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
Position Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Utilize a computer database to obtain and document information on surgical patients.Conduct a phone assessment of each surgical patient to obtain medical and medication history.Evaluate patients for allergies and reconcile with pre-operative eye drops.Communicate with Surgery Schedulers regarding patient needs and pre-surgical paperwork.Communicate with Primary Care Physicians, Cardiologists, Oncologists, etc. to obtain necessary information for appropriate medical evaluation pre-operatively.Communicate directly with the Anesthesia staff and Surgeons to ensure all questions regarding pre-operative patients are answered prior to surgery to ensure a smooth schedule.Other duties as assigned.
