Position SummaryThe Family Clinical Support Specialist is an integral part of our Family Services team, serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children and their families at our Bayview location. The Family Clinical Support Specialist has an in-depth understanding of the challenges of our families and children, the ability to provide trauma-informed child, individual and family therapy, and the experience to facilitate a range of community and family support services. We are looking for an individual who can form impactful working relationships with a diverse set of people, is enthusiastic about working with children and families, and has a strengths-based, non-judgmental approach when working with clients.

What You’ll DoProvide trauma-informed therapy and crisis management for students, and individual, family and/or group therapy for parents/families as appropriatePartner with families in assessing their needs, developing action plans toward goals, making appropriate referrals to community resources, and facilitating linkage to servicesCoordinate and/or facilitate caregiver support groups and/or workshops, such as child development, stress management, money management, etc. as neededProvide classroom milieu therapeutic support as appropriateCollaborate with teachers, staff, administrators, FACES SF programs and community agencies to support student well-being and ensure continuity of careDocument all client contact, action plans, and summary of client progressMeet in weekly individual and group supervision with supervisor and team members to discuss client activities, and any relevant issuesMonitor and/or coordinate weekly and monthly family engagement activities, parent workshops and community events Monitor and/or coordinate workshops to address challenges faced by our families and strengthen their knowledge of and access to community resourcesPlan, coordinate and actively participate in and document family engagement activities

QualificationsYou have a solid mix of the following knowledge, ability, skills and experience:Masters degree in Social work, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university. MFT, AMFT, ALPCC, ASW or LCSW required.Minimum of two years of experience in providing children 0-5 years and/or family therapy to complex populationsBilingual (Spanish/English) a must!Demonstrated knowledge of parenting challenges, child development, and children and families with special needs, including behavioral and emotional issuesDemonstrated knowledge of community resources, and skills in developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with community services providersExperience with facilitating workshops or trainings preferredCommitment to working with families from marginalized communitiesEffective and compassionate communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work cooperatively and independently with initiative and enthusiasmAbility to handle sensitive information in a confidential mannerProficiency with all Microsoft Office applications and electronic client management systemsAbility to meet required state, federal, local, and CDC standards (including but not limited to fingerprint clearance, negative TB test, First Aid, CPR)Able and willing to travel between our centers as neededA deep commitment to aligning all program practices to FACES SF values, especially around equity, inclusion, and belonging for all our stakeholderStrong passion for and a desire to humbly reflect, learn, and grow in pursuit of our missionA sense of humor- we believe joy and justice go hand in hand!
