Overview
M Health Fairview Health Services is seeking Nursing Station Technician (NST) at UMMC-East Bank! This position is 0.5 FTE (40 hours per two weeks), 8 hour shifts on the DAY/EVENING shift with an every other weekend rotation.
This position is eligible for full benefits: medical, HSA, dental, vision, 403b, PTO, Shift Differentials, health & wellbeing resources, tuition assistance & reimbursement and more.
The starting base rate of pay for the position is $19.49. Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay.

About the Job
The Nursing Station Technician is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties.
Job Duties
In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit. Other job duties include:
Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests Setting up and maintaining patient rooms Ordering and stocking of supplies

Qualifications
License/Certification/Registration
Minimum Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required. Ontrack participants much be able to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.
And one of the following
Successful completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
Or
Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician)
Or
Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
Or
Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a Health Unit Coordinator, Nursing Assistant, or other related experience
