Overview
Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our ICU at our M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital location in Woodbury, MN .
This position is eligIble for up to a $15,000 sign on bonus!
Within our ICU, our Registered Nurses are responsible for car ing for patients who have many different diagnoses including , b ut not limited to , sepsis, overdoses, withdrawals, and surgical patients who need a higher level of care. Our complex patients require continuous hemodynamic monitoring, intense medication management, ongoing critical thinking, and excellent communication with team members and families. This is a fast-paced and highly technical medical environment.
Schedule: This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the Night shift. This position will also work a rotation for every 3rd weekend and a holiday rotation.

About This Position – ICU 3North
18 beds mixed acuity Ages 18+ Patient average length of stay: 3-4 days Patient Population: Vents, codes, respiratory failures, septic patients, shock, unstable post surgicals, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,diabetics Usually 7-14 patients a day, however we are going to be increasing these numbers Free parking! Will consider experienced ICU or someone looking to push themselves to the next level

Responsibilities Job Description
As a n ICU RN, you will be responsible for
Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes; Developing an individualized nursing plan of care; Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care; Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes; Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes; Coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate; Demonstrating the ability to advance care by applying standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes; Promoting a culture of evidence based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities; and Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Nursing Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Valid RN Licensure from MN Board of Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association Preceptor experience Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience
