📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Faith Group, LLC is headquartered in Saint Louis, MO and is a leader in providing design and consulting for clients requiring solutions to their facilities and infrastructure challenges in the transportation, government, commercial, and education markets.Position Description:The candidate will be responsible for the design of a variety of facility electrical systems and subsystems including: power distribution systems, lighting and lighting controls, telecommunication, fiber optics, generators, UPS, security systems, CCTV, fire alarm and other specialized communication systems. Ideal candidate will have experience with the design of security (Access Control and CCTV), voice/data structured wiring, outside plant, audio/visual, fire alarm and communication systems.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:· Perform necessary engineering functions required for the project (field investigation, load calculations, equipment selection, system diagrams, sequence of operation and control diagrams, layouts, and specifications), while coordinating with designers, drafters, and engineers.· Review drawings for proper practices, quality, and consistency with office design standards.· Develop detailed construction drawings including site/floor plans, block diagrams, details, schedules and wiring diagrams.· Develop detailed specifications based on the CSI format.· Experience with the National Electrical Code· Working knowledge of electrical construction industry.· Provide construction administration services including pre-bid and construction meetings, reviewing shop drawings, resolving construction and owner issues, performing progress and punchlist inspections.· Experience using AutoCAD, Revit experience desired.· Project management experience on MEP projects desired.Minimum Qualifications:· Education: BSEE from an accredited engineering program.· Experience: 10 or more years of experience designing commercial / industrial electrical systems.· Licensed professional electrical engineer in at least one state.· Ability to self-manage throughout the project and work as part of a team.· Comfortable working on a construction site and working with foremen and installation crews.· Familiarity with NFPA70/NEC Code and BiCSI Telecommunication Design Standards.· Proven communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skillsCritical Competencies:· Ability to communicate well both verbally and in written format.· Decisive and able to plan and accomplish goals with minimal guidance.· Ability to work autonomously with a wide degree of creativity and innovation to reach project goals.· Capable of multitasking and able to work on own initiative.· Adept in the use of engineering software and AutoCAD modeling software - Revit and AutoCAD.Benefits:· 100% employer paid healthcare· 50% employer paid spouse/domestic partner/dependent healthcare· Dental· Vision· 401k· Short Term Disability· 100% employer paid Long Term Disability· 100% employer paid Life/ADD Insurance· Additional Life/ADD Insurance· FSA
