📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Seeking an experienced and highly competent Senior Level COBOL Software Engineer/Developer to work on Enhancement, New Development, & Production Support Projects for a mission critical Legacy Application (Vehicle Invoicing and Drafting, VI&D).Vehicle Invoicing and Drafting is a Mainframe/COBOL Legacy application; approx.50+ years old with Online and Batch Programs.The ideal candidate is independent, very organized, with a keen sense of detail and a natural ability to develop solutions.Candidate performs superbly under pressure and can balance a number of disparate projects.The Software Engineer must deliver their project on time and with high quality, according to defined processes.Experience with Agile methodology is a must. Difficult situations and business partner conversations must be handled tactfully.Both the Business and the Team must like you, trust you, and feel comfortable around you. VI&D is a mission critical application and core to Company, so some level of stress is expected. If you're up to the challenge, we look forward to speaking with you.
