Summary

This position is located in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Division of Manufacturers Assistance and Training (DMAT), Office of Communication, Outreach and Development (OCOD), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). The Division is responsible for developing Training programs to orient and train Center staff in the areas of professional, managerial, and scientific training and education.

The position of General Education and Training falls under the 1701 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-12/13, you must meet all requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 04/15/2024. Basic Requirements: Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position. -OR- Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. Selective Placement Factor: Produce validated instructional programs for e-learning according to the specification of the instructional strategy for solving a defined training problem or to enhance organizational performance and effectiveness. (This experience must be documented in your resume for further consideration). Minimum Qualifications: Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. The specialized experience must demonstrate one year of full-time work experience , or the equivalent if part-time (for example, an employee working 20 hours per week for a 12-month period should be credited with 6 months of experience.) Experience may have been obtained in either the federal service or its equivalent with state or local government, the private sector, or nongovernmental organizations. GS-12: You must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11, in the Federal service, which includes: conducting an instructional design needs analysis, using instructional design principles and adult learning theories to design web based training; developing web based training; evaluating the effectiveness of training. GS-13: You must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12, in the Federal service, which includes: developing the instructional design analysis; using instructional design principles and adult learning theories to design web based training; utilizing software products to develop web based training; performing research of e-learning technology to stay current and recommend improvements; evaluating the effectiveness of training; soliciting feedback throughout the instructional design process; developing project plans for development of web based training.
