Job Description

Compile, analyze, and evaluate financial and operational data and distribute reports and supporting information on topics such as monthly operational performance, productivity, staffing, trends, variances, cash management, revenue, expense, and capital. Develop effective business partnerships with management and other internal customers by regularly presenting and reviewing results. Prepare and input financial activity into the general ledger and other financial systems, including standard monthly entries and monthly close. Ensure accuracy of financial information and maintain supporting work papers. Perform work related to journal entries, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, eliminations, financial statements, tax, capital, leases, asset management, a/p, audits, testing, and other areas as assigned. Gather, prepare, and analyze data from multiple financial and operational systems to produce insightful analyses that drive management decision making about major company projects and initiatives. Analyze risks, determine the financial impacts of proposals, and examine alternate scenarios. Effectively summarize and present analysis, conclusions, and recommendations. Produce complete, accurate, and timely work, and take a leadership role in monitoring and supporting the same for others. Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems. Develop and maintain documentation for key cesses. Keep abreast of changes in standards and procedures. Develop, communicate, and adhere to company financial policies. Use, develop, and maintain processes, information systems and software, and use advanced financial analysis, data management, and modeling techniques. Effectively use graphics and presentations. Lead and coordinate the production of forecasts, business plans, and long range plans that incorporate current and historical information and that align with company financial objectives. Identify, initiate and lead special projects driven by current company needs, business conditions, or new strategic directions or opportunities develop the conceptual framework, analytical approach, and technical process for solving business problems. Search for and implement process and service improvements. Provide training, guidance, and direction to other financial analysts. Act as a financial consultant to operations, the finance organization, management, and other internal customers by providing outstanding support, leadership and technical knowledge.

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in finance, accounting, business or a related quantitative/analytical discipline . MBA or CPA preferred. Six (6) years professional experience in financial analysis, financial planning, reporting, business consulting, project management, information systems, accounting, audit, or operational analysis. Experience in transportation or customs brokerage industries preferred. Self-motivated, independent, and strong attention to accuracy and detail. Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, organizational, financial and computer skills.
