About the RoleFellow is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will be integral to our genomics research efforts. The candidate should have technical knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced molecular biology techniques and next generation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:Perform general lab maintenance tasks such as weekly cleaning of the lab, including bleaching lab equipment and benches, and laboratory equipment maintenanceTake inventory, order, and stock laboratory suppliesAssist in the scheduling of laboratory equipment calibrationPrepare seminal plasma from patient samples and perform DNA/RNA extractions and QCAssist scientists with molecular biology experimentsMaintain accurate and detailed experimental records, including protocols, data, and results in compliance with regulatory standards.Adhere to regulatory guidelines and ensure laboratory practices comply with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:Bachelors in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in a molecular biology laboratoryKnowledge of molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, and RT-qPCR.Strong organizational skillsDetail orientedAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
