Service Technician

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment, providing technical support to customers, and ensuring the highest level of service quality. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Here's what you'll do:Commission newly installed systems: Get our customers up and running smoothly by performing system startups and ensuring proper operation.Conduct inspections: Proactively identify any potential issues to keep systems running at optimal performance.Train customer personnel: Empower your customers by providing comprehensive training on how to operate and maintain their systems effectively.Assist and supervise installations: Provide expert guidance and support to ensure installations are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.Program, test, troubleshoot, and repair systems and equipment: Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve any system issues, both in the lab and at customer sites.Maintain clear communication: Keep customers informed throughout the process, providing clear verbal and written communication.Embrace continuous learning: Be prepared to expand your knowledge base by learning about our broader product range.

Extensive travel is an essential part of this role, and you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and adaptability are key. You will be expected to travel up to 80% of the time, both domestically & internationally (US/Canada/Mexico).

To be successful, you'll need:Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to build rapport with customers and provide clear technical explanations.Basic mechanical knowledge and skills for handling equipment installation and maintenance tasks.A general understanding of electrical wiring and signaling systems.Proficiency in basic computer skills for using technical documentation and service tools.A safe and responsible work ethic, maintaining organized work areas and adhering to safety protocols.A valid driver's license and the ability to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice.The ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging situations (difficult customers, bad weather, etc.).A commitment to professionalism and maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor at all times.
