📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Location: Birmingham, ALOur client, a leading heavy civil contractor, is seeking a seasoned Heavy Civil Division Manager in Birmingham, AL.
Benefits: Compensation range: $175,000 - 215,000.Bonus opportunity up to 20% of base salary.The company provides a company truck and gas card.PTO: 15 Days.The majority of the health insurance premium is covered by the company.Relocation assistance for candidates is offered,.
Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all aspects of heavy civil projects throughout the southeast.Lead project management teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Provide strategic direction and leadership in preconstruction activities, including estimating, bidding, and proposal preparation.Manage the division's Profit and Loss (P&L) performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of successful project management and delivery in the heavy civil sector.Strong understanding of preconstruction processes, including estimating, scheduling, and value engineering.Excellent financial acumen with experience managing P&L for large construction projects.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
