Role DescriptionPosition Summary: Contribute to sales and profitability by providing enthusiastic, excellent, personalized experiences for every client: in-store, over the phone, and through online channels. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment with a relaxed, fun family vibe and showcase your customer service skills.
The ideal candidate will be able to work a schedule that includes Saturdays. This role is in-person from 10am - 6pm Tuesday through Friday, and 10:30am – 5pm on Saturdays.
Position Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional customer service experience to clientsBuild & cultivate client relationshipsPresent and sell company products and services to new and existing clients and vendors: in-person, over the phone, and through online channelsConduct sales transactions, including cash handling and processing credit card paymentsParticipate in all areas of store's operation including merchandising, CRM capture, data entry into company’s POS system, and basic maintenance/housekeeping (cleaning, tiding, and organizing of sales floor, cases, and common employee spaces)Properly inspect and document client property and handle appropriatelyFollow-up with clients on sales, special orders, and repairs/services as neededStrict adherence to security policies, practices, and loss prevention proceduresUphold a team approach and utilize effective communication skills with coworkers, management and ownersPerform other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (retail sales and/or customer service)High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Basic computer proficiencyExcellent client service, problem solving, communication, multitasking, and negotiation skillsAbility to work with a diverse client baseStrong organizational skills, a consistent work ethic, willingness to learn, and a keen eye for detail in a fast-moving, team-friendly work environmentWillingness to represent the company in our communityWillingness to work weekends, some holidays, and extra hours/nights during peak selling timesMust be able to stand for a long period of time during business hoursMust have a polished, business casual appearance and a positive attitude
Other Helpful Skills and Experience:Experience in jewelry industry and/or retail sales preferredA preferred college degree and Graduate Gemologist degree or previous GIA course work; or other industry related degreesAbility to speak Spanish, a plus
